Dr. Tu graduated from Hanoi Medical University in 2005, then continued his specialization in obstetrics and gynecology at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology (with Distinction) and completed his Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hanoi Medical University.

He started as an obstetrician-gynecologist, but his passion for prenatal ultrasound diagnostics led him to dive deep into a very challenging niche: screening, detecting, and intervening in fetal conditions.

In 2021-2022, he was sent for advanced training at Necker Hospital in France – one of Europe’s and the world’s leading centers for fetal medicine. There, he received systematic training in intrauterine fetal intervention techniques, while also advancing his knowledge in genetics, pathology, and fetal MRI.

Additionally, he has participated in many other international training programs:

• Maternal and child health exchange program in Japan (2012)
• Certification in prenatal procedures, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling at Tu Du Hospital (2016)
• Hands-on workshop training in fetal intervention in Bangkok, Thailand (2019)
• CME certification in fetal medicine at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy (2018, 2019)

Cutting-Edge Techniques

After realizing that many mothers with abnormal pregnancies had to travel abroad for fetal intervention, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu was determined to bring these advanced techniques to Vietnam.

Under the guidance of the late Dr. Bruno Schaub from France, Dr. Tu has successfully performed many complex fetal interventions:
